Carlson Gracie Team MMA Belt Testing

Aurora / Naperville, Illinois ( IL ) — Carlson Gracie Team MMA will be conducting belt testing on Saturday September 18th, 2010 at the Aurora / Naperville location. Belt testing will begin at 12:30 pm. The registration/testing fee is $30. A Gi is required. Testing is available for both adults and kids as well as members from all gym locations.
The belt test will consist of an instructor testing the candidate's knowledge and technical ability of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ( BJJ ) out on the mats. Candidates who show acceptable mastery of knowledge and technique will either be given an additional stripe to their current level or will be promoted to the next belt level.
'Students who have trained for at least four months in a Gi should see come for testing to see where their progress is at' said Second Degree Black Belt Jeff Neal. 'Belt testing is a great experience and regardless of the outcome will allow you to see what areas you need to improve on.'
'Carlson Gracie Belts are very tough to earn. We don't sell belts or offer quick advancements. When you earn a stripe or advance to the next level, you know you have really accomplished something that you can be very proud of.' adds Black Belt Jason Sullins. 'Our Jiu-Jitsu tournament results say it all. We haven't won all of these medals for no reason!'
