Corral's Combat Classic (C3) - Torneo De Mayo Results
May 14th, 2010
Gary, Indiana (IN) — On Saturday May 8th, a small group of the Carlson Gracie Team MMA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling team headed down to the C3 tournament looking to fill their appetites for more medals! Following up on overwhelming success at the national level in The Arnolds Sports Festival in March, and on the regional level at the NAGA Chicago Grappling competition in April, the competition team was understandably confident in their ability to come away with wins.
'Our team has been training hard and has shown allot of heart and dedication,' offered instructor and coach Jason Sullins prior to the tournament. 'I see some members of our team in classes training four or five times a week. If you want to compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or grappling in the South or Western Suburbs, training with our team is the best choice you can make.'
'Other gyms talk about being the best at competitive Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling but that's all it is... talk,' added top student and second degree black belt Jeff Neal. 'Not only do you receive top quality instruction here from instructors and coaches who have been successful at the highest levels, but you also have the opportunity to train daily with other students who have proven themselves successful on a local, regional, and national level.'
Brown Belt and Instructor Brian Bishop followed up, 'One advantage that we have over other gyms is that we have a very strong team spirit and willingness to help each other regardless of skill level. I have seen other schools where higher level belts will not train with lower level belts. In our schools and classes, we all work to make each other better regardless of belt. We really are a great choice no matter what your skill level.'
Carlson Gracie Team MMA is making its name quickly known by not only domainting the competetion in Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling tournaments but also by building recognition as the top training center for any age or ability in MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling.
