Carlson Gracie Team MMA Takes on Invasion - Aurora!

Aurora, Illinois (IL) -- On Friday the 27th of January 2012 at La Sierra in Aurora at 6:30 PM, the Carlson Gracie Team will occupy half of the action packed Cut Throat Invasion 4 card.
At one end of the card in the main event of the evening, we have Carlson Gracie Team instructor Sam Ferguson looking to finally capture what he feels is rightfully his as the number two ranked fighter in his weight class, the Cut Throat Middleweight Title! Standing in his way is tough as nails Ryan Kirwan fighting out of rival gym Gilbert Grappling. Kirwan is looking to culminate his meteoric rise of the Middleweight division with a victory over Ferguson and the Middleweight strap. The crowd in attendance can expect a brutal war full of Fireworks!
Not too far before Sam Ferguson's bout will be the always exciting and dangerous number two ranked fighter at Welterweight and Carlson Gracie Team Instructor, Tom Shoaff. In his last fight as an amateur mixed martial artist, Tom Shoaff expects business as usual. Whether it's one of his trademark devastating knock outs or one of his rare stunning submissions like we saw against Full Mount MMA instructor Tim young, Shoaff will be hunting for the finish! Across the cage from Tom will be the dark horse of the event, Anthony Nichols representing Team Mann. Will the newcomer make a name for himself or will Tom Shoaff add yet another highlight reel finish to his resume?
Earlier in the card the Carlson Gracie Muay Thai Team will also be in full effect with Axel Mendez and Dorothy Schultz competing in Striking bouts. Young Axel Mendez is coming off a last second devastating head kick KO at Clash at the Kilt 2 and will be looking to continue to mature as a striker and add yet another exciting victory to his resume, the sky is the limit for this young but blood thirsty striker! Also competing in a Striking bout will be the beautiful but brutal, Dorothy Schultz! She proved in her last fight at Clash at the Kilt 2 that women's bouts can be just as exciting and just as violent as she destroyed her opponent and made her quit with a barrage of unbelievable strikes. Expect no different from Schultz when she steps into the cage at La Sierra and looks to put down yet another one of her opponents!
