Carlson Gracie Team MMA will be well represented this Friday, January 7th 2011 at the Double Tree Inn in Oak Brook Illinois as Cut Throat MMA presents Oak Brook Fight Night 2!
Fight Night 2 features undefeated Carlson Gracie Fighter Ryan Haney in the co-main event vs Jay Mangler of Moflo's Dojo. Ryan trains regularly out of the Aurora / Naperville gym and is coming off of a steller 2010. Ryan made his debut with an MMA win at the Excalibur Nightclub in June of last year and followed up with two more MMA wins and four Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament gold medals before the year was over. Ryan is looking to keep the wins rolling in 2011!
Fight Night 2 also features John Freeman who is making his Carlson Gracie Debut. John trains out of Aurora / Naperville and Minooka and joined the team in the fall looking to take his game to the next level. This will be John's first chance to show what the change of camps has done. We are very excited to see John enter the cage and reap the rewards of all the hard work he has put in.
Finally for the Muay Thai fans, Instructor Matt Collum and Carlson Gracie Fighter Tom Shoaff will hit the cage to fight in Muay Thai matches. Matt, whose pedigree in wrestling is well known, is looking to test his skills while standing. Having focused on his stand-up, Matt will see just where he is at as a rounded MMA fighter when wrestling is removed from the equation. Tom is a top prospect amateur MMA fighter making his Carlson Gracie debut looking to tune his Muay Thai skills up before he goes pro.
There is something for everyone on this card and we want everyone to turn out and help push out team on to new heights in 2011! Lets go get them Bulldogs!
